Connect Hearth to Claude & ChatGPT
Ask your AI assistant about your hotel — read-only, scoped to the properties you can already see.
How it works
Hearth ships an MCP connector — the open standard Claude and ChatGPT use to talk to outside tools. Once connected, your assistant can look at your hotel the way you do in the console: the unified inbox, guest profiles, today's arrivals and departures, open escalations, reservations and upsell revenue. It reads; it never writes.
You sign in with your own Hearth account, so the assistant sees exactly the hotels your account can see — nothing more. Access is granted per person and revocable in one click.
Set up in Claude
Custom connectors require a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise).
- Open claude.ai → Settings → Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Hearth and paste the connector URL below, then Add.
- Click Connect — you'll be sent to hearth.symphia.ai to sign in with your usual email code and approve read-only access.
- That's it. Ask Claude about your hotel; it will call Hearth as needed.
Set up in ChatGPT
Connectors are available on ChatGPT's paid plans; custom MCP servers appear under developer mode.
- Open ChatGPT → Settings → Connectors.
- Under Advanced, enable Developer mode, then choose Add / Create to add an MCP server.
- Name it Hearth, paste the connector URL below, and pick OAuth for authentication.
- Complete the sign-in at hearth.symphia.ai and approve access.
- Use it in chats — deep research is supported, so ChatGPT can search your inbox and guest records while it works through a question.
The connector URL
https://api.hearth.symphia.ai/mcp
Both assistants take the same URL. Everything else — discovery, sign-in, tokens — is negotiated automatically.
Security & privacy
- Read-only. The connector cannot send messages, change reservations, charge anyone, or alter anything in Hearth.
- You sign in at hearth.symphia.ai — your credentials are never shared with the assistant. It receives only a revocable access token.
- Property-scoped. The assistant sees exactly the hotels your Hearth account has access to, enforced on every request.
- Sensitive fields stay home. Door codes and identity-document numbers are never included in what the assistant can read.
- Disconnect anytime in the console under Settings → Connected apps — access ends immediately.
Things to ask
“Who's arriving today, and has anyone not finished their registration card?”
Front desk“Summarize the open conversations that need a human right now.”
Inbox triage“How did the AI concierge do this week — what share of guest chats did it handle end to end?”
Performance“Find the guest who asked about a late checkout yesterday and tell me where that conversation stands.”
SearchDisconnecting
In Hearth, open Settings → Connected apps and disconnect the assistant — its access token is revoked on the spot. You can also remove the connector from the assistant's own settings. Reconnecting later just repeats the sign-in.
